1st Arlesey Scout Group

What do Scouts do?

Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling, cycling and canoeing. But we also get to hang out with our friends every week – having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges.

Every week 1st Arlesey Scouts give 6-18 year olds the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.

Everyone’s welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Regardless of your child’s physical ability – there’s a Scout adventure out there waiting for them. And we’ll help them find it.

Beaver Scouts are our youngest members.

We usually meet weekly to take part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, singing, visits and good turns, along with plenty of outdoor activities.

We also have the opportunity to take part in the fun and excitement of camps and sleepovers.

For Cubs, excitement and adventure are key.

Cubs take part in a wide range of activities designed to be interesting and challenging. A Cub Scout meeting consists of games and activities with plenty of time spent outdoors.

Camps and holidays are some of the most memorable events of the year for Cubs.

A Scout is never taken by surprise and is always happy to help.

Scouts builds and develops confidence, a sense of adventure and outdoor skills.

Scouts are encouraged to work together and take the lead on projects, from community based work to planning games and activities for their meetings. It offers independence to put these skills into practice.

Explorers offers fun and adventure for all.
